Cabrera Metalizado Gold
The Cabrera Metalizado Gold is a handmade wall tile measuring 7.5 x 30 cm and 1 cm thick, made in one of our creative factories in Spain. It's a Spanish ceramic tile with a rustic look and a surface featuring a playful gradient. The Cabrera tiles are available in a wide range of colors.
Please note: Metallic glazes are very sensitive to kiln temperature fluctuations and may therefore vary from batch to batch. This is due to the manufacturing method of metalized tiles and should be considered normal.
Good to know
Our Spanish ceramic tiles are glazed by hand before being fired in a large tiled kiln. The production process is still carried out in an authentic manner, which is reflected in the craftsmanship of the tiles. The top layer is very durable and can be used for many purposes. These Spanish tiles are only suitable as wall tiles. The Cabrera collection has an elongated format that can be laid in a variety of ways. It's worth considering. Are you familiar with herringbone, half-brick, or block patterns, for example? They give your kitchen, bathroom, or hallway a unique look. Choose honey yellow, navy blue, or terracotta red in matte or glossy?
Laying Spanish tiles
Spanish tiles are easy to install; refer to our installation instructions. We recommend that you do this before you begin tiling. Alternatively, you should hire a qualified tiler who is familiar with this type of tile. Crackle tiles have small, intentional cracks in the glaze on their surface. These can become even more pronounced when grouting. If you don't want this effect, you should impregnate the tiles before grouting to prevent the cracks from filling with the material. This is inherent in the product and does not affect its lifespan or its intended use. Crackle tiles should generally be impregnated in wet areas to prevent them from absorbing moisture. Use our Azule Stain Stop to impregnate crackle tiles. These authentic tiles can be used as wall tiles and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor use: on a hardened surface such as a stone wall, under a roof, protected from rain and sun. Severe frost can cause cracks. They are ideal for wet areas such as showers, toilets, or bathrooms, but they also look great in kitchens and hallways. These tiles also make a difference in restaurants and shops!
Colors, patterns and sizes
Spanish tiles are available in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes. Each batch will exhibit slight color variations, even within a single package. Rounded corners and irregularities in the color gradient are intentional to create a certain atmosphere. This is not a defect. In addition to the standard rectangular and square shapes, other shapes are also very popular, such as hexagons, triangles, fish scales (escamas), and laternas.
Ordering and delivery
All our tiles are delivered in complete packaging units. If you need help calculating the required quantities, expert advice, or a customized quote, we are happy to help. We are available in one of our showrooms, by email, or by phone. Orders are delivered directly to your home via our carrier. They are securely secured on a pallet, minimizing the risk of breakage. Delivery costs are calculated based on weight, volume, and postal code and are included in the quote as standard. Tiles can also be picked up from our Europe-wide warehouse in Breda. Collection is only possible by prior arrangement. Please note that German and Dutch invoicing differ; payment can only be processed through the German branch. If you would like to inspect the tile in person and are unable to visit one of our showrooms, you can order a sample via our website or email.
Care
Spanish tiles have a hard top layer and are easy to maintain. Weekly cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Preferably use an acid-free product that is not too greasy. For heavily soiled surfaces, we recommend using Azule Dirt Remover. This powerful degreaser will tackle most types of dirt on various tile types.
