To avoid misunderstandings and unpleasant experiences, we would like to inform you about this in detail.

What do we take back and what not?

We believe it's important to provide you with comprehensive information about our products and their return policies. Therefore, we'll let you know in advance which category your selected products fall into. This allows you to make an informed decision about whether to order these products. If your order contains non-returnable products, we'll include a corresponding return policy. This is to make you aware of the specific conditions that apply to these products.

Our goal is to provide clarity and transparency so you know exactly where you stand. We would therefore like to point out that by accepting our offer, you automatically agree to our return policy. This helps us avoid misunderstandings and ensures that your order is processed smoothly and as agreed.

Tiles from our standard collection

Tiles that we carry in our standard range are mostly machine-made and are not susceptible to batch variations. If these tiles come from our stock, they can be returned in unopened packaging. This is necessary to ensure the quality of our products and to be able to offer them again. For returned tiles, you will receive a credit note equal to the value of the returned products.

Please note: It is important to know that under no circumstances will we refund any money for returned tiles.



Custom-made products or products specially ordered for you

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for products that were specially made for you or that we order exclusively for you. These custom-made items cannot be exchanged for other items from our range. Therefore, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the properties of the tiles before ordering.


We generally recommend ordering a sample in advance or viewing the tiles in one of our showrooms. This gives you the opportunity to see the product in person, assess its color and texture, and ensure it meets your expectations. Please keep in mind that natural stone and handcrafted tiles can always vary from the sample! Both in color and size!


Please note : If you need additional tiles at a later date, they may vary in color and shape. It's important to calculate exactly how many tiles you'll need in advance to avoid the need to reorder.

Important: We only accept returns with an approved return form. Download the return form below. Please complete it and email it to us before returning the products. Please read our return policy beforehand to ensure your return is eligible.

Warranty provisions

Many of our tiles are made entirely by hand using traditional methods. They are unique and authentic products. Slight variations in color, shape, and pattern are due to the manufacturing process and the materials used. These slight variations are considered normal. These characteristics are what give the tiles their special and unique character. To achieve optimal results when laying our tiles, we recommend that you carefully follow the step-by-step instructions. The various step-by-step plans for each tile type are listed on this website.

Download the complaint form and submit your complaint directly, with returns subject to the conditions below.

- Returns should be reported within the specified time limit using the return form on our website. Please fill out this form completely and send it by email to retouren@designtegels.nl.

Completed return forms must first be approved by our customer service department. We will not accept returns at the counter without an approved return form. We only accept complete and unopened boxes/packages in their original condition.

- We do not accept returns of samples.

- We do not refund shipping or transportation costs.

- It's possible that you ordered a little more of a tile product just to be on the safe side. However, we never accept returns of more than 10% of the original order.

- You are responsible for returning the tiles/products yourself. We will not be collecting them. Of course, we can help you arrange a pickup service, but this will incur additional costs.

- Complaints must be made within 24 hours. If you are not satisfied with your order, the order is damaged, or any products are missing, we politely but urgently request that you contact us within 24 hours of delivery!

- Custom-made products (ordered specifically for you in size and color and/or deviating from our basic range) cannot be returned or exchanged for other products. Once the products have been incorporated into your project, any claims for color differences or inaccuracies are void.

- Related tile products such as impregnation

- and cleaning products, tile adhesives and grout can be returned up to 14 days after the invoice date in the original and closed (unopened) packaging.

We're happy to help you calculate the tile products you need. We'll do this based on the dimensions you provide. However, you are responsible for ensuring the correct calculation. Please calculate your needs before placing your final order! Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue and can only be redeemed in their original condition in one of our stores.

- This means we cannot accept copies or scans.

- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

- When returning tiles that fall under the right of return, only a voucher will be issued.

- Products purchased with a voucher cannot be exchanged.
