How to order a sample

  • Samples are designed to give you an idea of ​​what a product looks like. A sample can help you determine whether the color, shape, and finish are suitable for your project. However, there are a few things that are important to consider before ordering a sample, and we'd like to let you know in advance!

  • Our samples typically don't come from the same warehouse as our other tiles. And since many of our products are manufactured in different dye baths, it's possible that there may be color differences between our sample tiles and our regular stock.

You will be refunded the cost of the sample with your next order.

If you place an order for €250 or more based on your sample order, you will receive a refund of the tile cost (excluding shipping costs) in your order. (Up to a maximum of €25.00) Please provide your order number at checkout or let us know in advance so we can process the discount in a timely manner.

The sample tiles are not intended for use in a project.

This is because color variations may occur because the tiles are produced in different dye baths, and because rejected deliveries with, for example, breakages are processed into sample tiles. While these may still look good and function as samples, they may contain hairline cracks or imperfections that render the tile unsuitable for use. It is therefore important to use a sample only as a guide and not as a full-fledged tile for your project. If you do not have enough tiles for your project, we recommend ordering a pack of the tile you require.

Home delivery or takeaway

Sample tiles are sent by mail (DHL). We charge shipping costs when you want the sample(s) to be sent. The samples are well and securely packed in our own sample box. Prefer to pick up your samples in our showroom in Breda or Utrecht? Then send an email to info@designtegels.nl

With a sample you know exactly!

A sample tile provides a good impression and helps you make the right choice. We therefore recommend that you always order a sample in advance or view the tiles in person in one of our showrooms. This way, you can avoid any surprises and be sure that the color, texture, and appearance match your expectations. Our showroom staff are ready to provide you with personal advice and help you think along the way.

Tiles that we have made specifically for you cannot be returned.

Many of our tiles are handmade and often custom-made. Therefore, if you order multiple boxes of tiles, the color may vary slightly from the sample you received. Please take this into account or ask a member of our staff about the maximum deviation, as this varies depending on the tile type.

If certain samples are out of stock, we can send you a different shape or size in the same color so you can still get an idea and avoid having to wait unnecessarily long to make a decision. We usually inform you in advance. Sample tiles cannot be returned.

We'd like to remind you how important it is to see tiles in person and not rush into ordering tiles you've never seen before. The colors on our website display differently on each screen, which unfortunately is beyond our control.

It's not possible to order all the tiles in a collection as samples; instead, you can visit our showroom to see them in person. We ship a maximum of five samples at a time.
