Item Description

Bejmat Atlas Petrol

Bejmat Atlas Petrol is a handcrafted wall and floor tile measuring 4.5x14cm and 2cm thick. This small brick has a vibrant surface and beautiful color nuances. Bejmat tiles can be installed on both floors and walls and are ideal for kitchens, restrooms, hallways, or bathrooms. Bejmat tiles can also be laid in many different patterns, such as herringbone or half-bond.

Good to know
Bejmats are handmade wall and floor tiles from Morocco. The pure clay washed up from the Atlas Mountains is mixed with only water, then formed into the appropriate shape and dried in the sun. They are then fired in an olive pit kiln. This labor-intensive process gives the tiles their distinctive appearance and interesting character.

Because the pure clay is processed, it contains lime pits that regularly appear on the surface of the tile or in the glaze. This causes small irregularities in the thickness of the tile and on the surface. This is inherent in the product and does not constitute a defect. Bejmats are wall and floor tiles. Zelliges are wall tiles and are therefore thinner.

Laying Bejmat
Moroccan tiles require special attention during installation; we have prepared specific installation instructions for this purpose. We recommend that you read them carefully before installing the tiles. Or hire a qualified tiler who is familiar with this type of tile.

Suitable for
Bejmats can be installed indoors and outdoors. For outdoor use, they should be installed under a roof, protected from water and sun. If water penetrates the tiles, severe frost can cause cracks in the glaze.

Bejmats are irregular, with sharp edges rarely found. They are ideal tiles for your hallway, restroom, bathroom, and kitchen. Bejmats are also very suitable for hotels and restaurants.

Colors and sizes
We offer Bejmats in a variety of colors. Each batch is different. Even tiles within a box may vary in color and shape. This is due to the production process and does not constitute a defect.

All our tiles are delivered in complete packaging units only. If you need help calculating the required quantities, expert advice, or a customized quote, we're happy to help. Visit us in one of our showrooms, contact us by email, or call us.

Care
Bejmats have a hard top layer and are easy to maintain. Weekly mopping or cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Preferably use an acid-free product that is not too greasy.

For heavy soiling, we recommend using AZULE Dirt Remover. This powerful degreaser can tackle most types of dirt on various tile types.
