Production of natural stone
Natural stone is one of the most durable and timeless materials nature offers us. It is loved not only for its beauty, but also for its robustness and versatility. The natural stone manufacturing process is a fascinating combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, with each piece carefully crafted to enhance its unique characteristics.
Marble is mined in large blocks from quarries. These blocks are then precision-cut into slabs or special shapes, depending on their intended use. This process is carried out entirely without chemicals, making natural stone not only an elegant but also an environmentally friendly choice. Cutting and shaping the shapes is done entirely by hand. Small pieces of marble are carefully
cut to size, placed in shapes and then firmly attached to a mat to facilitate handling.
Fact: The Mosaic Star and Mosaic Galaxy series use a waterjet cutter. The shapes are precisely cut from marble based on a computer model.
Brick tiles undergo a meticulous process to achieve their unique and authentic appearance. First, the bricks are sawn to precise dimensions. Then they are tumbled, a special technique in which the edges of the tiles are intentionally not kept taut and straight, but are given a rounded and slightly crumbly surface. This gives the tiles a subtle weathering effect.
