Barro Old White
The Barro Old White is a 13.83 x 13.83 cm tile with a thickness of 0.85 cm, manufactured in one of our Spanish factories. It is a Spanish ceramic tile with a vibrant appearance that can be used as a floor and wall tile both indoors and outdoors. Each tile is slightly different, creating a lively and playful whole. This tile can be installed in a variety of spaces and with a variety of styles.
Good to know
The surface of these tiles is manufactured using one of the most modern techniques. Small reliefs are often noticeable on the surface, giving it a vibrant and natural appearance. The top layer is quite matte and therefore not smooth. The quality is excellent and has high wear resistance. The matte surface and color nuances give these tiles a distinctive appearance. They will add a unique touch to your interior. They are also available in square or diamond-shaped formats.
Laying Spanish tiles
Spanish tiles are easy to work with. We recommend reading our installation instructions carefully before installing the tiles. Or hire a qualified tiler who is familiar with this type of tile. Crackle tiles have small, intentional cracks in the glaze on their surface. These can become even more pronounced when grouting. If you don't want this effect, you should impregnate the tiles before grouting to prevent the cracks from filling with the material. This is inherent in the product and does not affect its lifespan or intended use. Crackle tiles should generally be impregnated in wet areas to prevent them from absorbing moisture. Use our Azule Stain Stop to impregnate crackle tiles. These authentic tiles can be used as wall tiles and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor use: on a hardened surface such as a stone wall, under a roof, protected from rain and sun. Severe frost can cause cracks. They are ideal for wet areas such as showers, toilets, or bathrooms, but they also look great in kitchens and hallways. These tiles also make a difference in restaurants and shops.
Colors, patterns and sizes
Spanish tiles are available in a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes. Each batch will exhibit slight color variations, even within a single package. Rounded corners and irregularities in the color gradient are intentional to create a certain atmosphere. This is not a defect. In addition to the standard rectangular and square shapes, other shapes are also very popular, such as hexagons, triangles, fish scales (escamas), and laternas.
Ordering and delivery
All our tiles are delivered in complete packaging units. If you need help calculating the required quantities, expert advice, or a customized quote, we are happy to help. We are available in one of our showrooms, by email, or by phone. Orders are delivered directly to your home via our carrier. They are securely secured on a pallet, minimizing the risk of breakage. Delivery costs are calculated based on weight, volume, and postal code and are included in the quote as standard. Tiles can also be picked up from our Europe-wide warehouse in Breda. Collection is only possible by prior arrangement. Please note that German and Dutch invoicing differ; payment can only be processed through the German branch. If you would like to inspect the tile in person and are unable to visit one of our showrooms, you can order a sample via our website or email.
Care
Spanish tiles have a hard top layer and are easy to maintain. Weekly cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Preferably use an acid-free product that is not too greasy. For heavily soiled surfaces, we recommend using Azule Dirt Remover. This powerful degreaser will tackle most types of dirt on various tile types.
